I hope his next is on Allama Iqbal..that would be awesome.

^arre iqbal say barri personality kounsi hogi. a film definitely needs to be made on his life and his contributions. would be an extensive project.

I know Iqbal was a great philosopher. But right now I guess some other issues need to be highlighted. e.g. a movie on Patriotism or History of Islam or on the life of any personality from Islamic History e.g. Mohammad Bin Qasim or Tariq Bin Zeyad etc.
Iqbal has been in discussions always. Have you watched that tv prog on his birthday or Death Anniversary... Apna Maqaam Paida Kar ???? Diff singers sung his poems fantastically. There is this CD too in market. If you are such a big fan of him, I am sure you will love that CD. Grab one copy for you.. my recommendation.

^I have heard those songs.they were great.
Film is different than tv plays/programs. films have a wider audience and scope. a case in point is KKL which got released internationally and wa s abig hit in pakistan.
plus, it's a challenging project which only a director like shoaib mansoor can tackle.
I think iqbal is more releavent today . his philodosphy poetry is very relevant to our times and needs to be presented on a bigger scale. nobody has ever made a film on him which is strange. we have seen tv plays ike mohammad bin qasim but I don't remember any popular drama was made on iqbal.

There in no movie on Iqbal. and even on Quaid-e-Azam there in only one movie and only one drama. There should be more. you can see there are lot of movies and dramas on other country leaders like Linkon, Washigton, Ghandhi etc

But wouldnt u like to see something different from him? hes obviously versatile..look at 50-50, alpha b. charlie, supreme ishq vids. Nd since its bollywood id expect some masala as everything in bollywood requires it to be a hit.
i heard he a big fan of historical stuff...? should make an epic...put bolly money to some use for once!

umm yeah thats that same interview that started the whole rumor about him making a movie in india...well he is not...first thing first he never gives interviews be it the print media or channels...the whole thing is totally made up and posted on other "blogs" as well. i know he is making a movie...its a patriotic movie and everything is on hold because of the current situation in pakistan. He did recently produced and wrote a song for the refugees of swat sung by rahat fateh ali khan and is being aired these days on geo.

I don't think shoaib mansoor would work in india. Shan was talking nonsense coz he has a problem with shoaib. He's a very patriotic pakistani and at this critical juncture he won't work in india.

the company called Percept in bolly was also film distributor for khuda key liye in India....so it could be possible that he signed deal with them. I dont know whether its a rumour or not...either way he shouldnt really go to bollywood and leave pakistans cinema revival at such an early stage.
as for shaan, what was his problem? he is so rude to have used the LSA platform to vent his anger out on shoaib mansoor......pure jealousy!

shoaib mansoor rocks...this guy has an amazing knack for introducing brilliant people into showbiz, I hope his next has the same talented mix of new and established artistes that Khuda Ke Liye had. And I dont think he's making a film in India.

a film on allama iqbal is very much needed, especially at this time it can save the country by helping bring a soft revolution like zaid hamid is doing by promoting allama iqbals works.
