Shoaib Malik

I have been very impressed with this guy from the day he started playing international cricket.
First I was impressed with his batting when he scored centuries against New Zealand and Sri Lanka year ago and now he has truly defined the qualities of allrounder. And now he constantly takes wickets for Pakistan, and plus a very good fielder in any position, he is one man who will definitly be around for the next couple years.

Yup :k: he’s very young too right? around 23-24?

Apart from being a real fighter, he is a Sialkoti and therefore, a much superior being to most people. On top of all this he is extremely good looking.

Is there anything wrong with this kid at all?

^ he is PAKISTANi first and then sialkoti :snooty:

he sure is a great alrounder for sure :k:

and yeah good looking tooo :stuck_out_tongue:

This is a very racist/regionalist comment. He is good because he worked hard on game and he plays good. Not because he is from Sialkot.
Anyone can make it big if they work hard.

he is sialkoti so our silakot walay sam bhia is more happy than us…

same thing.. i m happy for shoib malik too.. but if he would hav been from karachi.. my happienss might be lil more than that… but that doesnt mean i m racist.. its quite natural…i guess :halo:

yeah, i really liked him playing and the way he fielded in Pepsi Cup in Bangladesh.
great cricketer:D

i was gona post about him  but somrhtin different have u lot noticed his action is a carbon copy of saqis :o this wasnt the case last tiem i saw him agea go … heard eh had a shoudler injury and i cant be quoted on this heard he had to change is action because of some ‘questions’ about its legality but sheesh he didnt have to go so far with saqi… he was spining the ball ALOT and no wonder y poor saqi cant come back cause this guy can bat way better and bowl exactly like him :hehe:

After todays match he has already served his two match ban.

guys I was kidding. I do not believe in regionalism/provincialism.

I apologize if I hurt anyone's feelings. that was not my intent.

Folks, this thread is so not about sambrialian. :stuck_out_tongue:

Shoaib Malik :k: A great find. Good all-round player.

No doubt we all agree that Shoaib Malik's a very talented allrounder. But time and again, I see him getting kicked out of the squad. Why is that?

because I’m not Chief selector yet :hehe:

I’m not bragging but I told you guys to keep an eye out for him when the first post-WC squad was picked. I’m better than Imran Khan at spotting potential.

^ Shoaib has been unfortunate in the sense that he had to compete with the likes of Saqlain to find a position in the team. Saqqi no doubt is a better offie. Good for Shoaib that he realized this and decided to improve his batting. He is no doubt a far superior batsman than Saqqi. So, now he has found a permanent spot in the ODI squad. As of late, he has been bowling very well too. It's icing on the cake that he is a superb fielder too.

Saqi's a great offie no doubt, but Shoaib isn't just a good bowler, batsman and fielder, he's also a great competitor. That's a priceless asset and a few others in Pakistan's new look squad have got it as well like Hafeez for example. These are two genuinely talented allrounders made of the right stuff.
