The condition to ask permission was added by Ayub Khan. There's nothing in Islam that says men are required to get permission from the first wife.

Reading in some of the news papers that clearly say that pakistan govt can prosecute Shoaib if he doesn't get legal divorce or concent from Ayesha. Supposedly Ayesha's family has hired a lawyer in Pakistan too and have sent a legal notice to Mallik's that they will get delivered in two days...

Well he is a jerk who is playing with islamic rules and law and same is his ugly brother in law. Pehle kar lia and then deny like a bechara bacha. I hope he does marry Sania, nothing wrong in that. But he should accept his nikaah with Aysha and divorce her legally without making more drama.

HYDERABAD DECCAN: A case of cheating has been filed against Shoaib Malik on the complaint of Mohammed Siddiqui, father of Ayesha, who claims to be the first wife of Pakistani cricketer.
The Banjara Hills police said a case under Sections 420 (cheating), 498-A (dowry harassment) and 506 (criminal intimidation) has been booked against Shoaib and they will take up the investigation after verifying facts of the complaint.
Shoaib, who landed in Hyderabad on Saturday, had denied earlier in the day that he had ever entered into a wedlock with Ayesha.
On the other hand, Ayesha counsel in Pakistan Barrister Farooq Hasan said that a case of fraud would be filed against Shoaib in 72 hours.
He said the he would file a case in the court to get a stay order against the marriage.
