I just don’t understand the convoluted logic skipper Yousaf has concocted.
The wicket at the ongoing Test in Napier is the easiest and most batsman-friendly of the three tests. Shoaib Malik played in the first two, but was dropped from the third. Logically, this wicket was the most suited to Shoaib’s style of batting. Dropping him reflects a lack of confidence in him by the captain, manager, etc.
However, if that is the case, why in the world is Shoaib included in squad for Australia, at Yousaf’s insistence, no less? Why does Yousaf think Shoaib will be any good on Australia’s harder, faster, bouncier pitches when he wasn’t deemed good enough to bat in Napier?
Re: Shoaib Malik, dropped at Napier, yet going to Australia - I'm pulling my hair out
Had he (Shoaib) played in the 3rd test and repeated his performance ( getting out cheaply), we might have opened a thread saying why, Yousuf has not given the chance of Bhanja, as he also likes to get out cheaply... Man we are never happy

Give others some fair chances and have mercy on your head. The end of world is still a little far, so no worries. Enjoy watching other playing or play and played!
and please stop calling crap like bhanja, damad etc, they came in the team after showing some domestic performance throughout the year.

Couldn't agree more. we criticise regardless. it is in our genes.

But the thread opener is not talking about Faisal Iqbal, is he? He is making an important point here about Malik.
As far as playing with Bhanja goes, two wrongs dont make a right. Faisal Iqbal and Malik don't deserve to be part of the test team, period. (actually in Faisal's case he doesn't deserve to be part of any team).

faisal is the bhanja of miandad na ..........so of course he will be part of team if playing or not ......he goes on every tour ......and about Malik he dont have a class to play test matches

You fail to get the point. According to reports, the selectors were all set to drop Shoaib from the squad for Australia, but Yousaf insisted that he be included. At the same time, Shoaib was dropped from the ongoing third Test at Napier because his performance sucked in the first two Tests. If a player is dropped for lack of form, PCB expects that player to go play some domestic games, regain his form, and then try to get selected on the basis of his performance. Is Shoaib guaranteed to magically regain his from between now and Dec 26th?

He is an Aquarian and will be back in form now, most likely after 19th December( Jupiter's transition occurs on that day) he will regain his old form and his place in the team. :)
