I agree with you 100% on this issue, non performers are continously selected, whereas players like Malik, (who I have predicted as the next Captain) are dropped after one bad performance.
Like you said and I have said this many times, any player, be it Malik, or Younis, or for that matter even Shoaib, give them a FAIR CHANCE, otherwise after every game if you play musical chairs, its not only going lower the morale of the players not in form, but even the players. with consistent performance,who will always be playing with the Socrates (sp) sword over their heads.
That is one reason i Do appreciate Ganguly, he atleast givesn a player time to prove themselves, but he even stands up for them. and thats what counts.
