Who would you rather have in Test? Shoaib Malik or Razzaq?
right now razzaq because if he can't bat, atleast be a little help with bowling. better than rao and when he clicks he can make some runs.
malik has potential, but like every other player in this team he is inconsistent. some players are patchy, others on waiting list to perform. we are stuck taking sides thinking this player will eventually get it.
fact of the matter is, there are many players in our team that do not deserve place in test. if the team was led under wasim or imran, even other mediocre captains, these two will never make the cut. there has to be an overhaul in PCB with respect to management and selectors. they talk the big talk, but has yet to deliever. before this it was all the ills were blamed on being a 'mullah' and the promise was to select players on merit. so far only a 33 year old misbah. unless pcb gets it and train its players properly, we will continue to see these problems occur on regular basis. we have very few players that are dependable, others lack proper technique. if you go by international standards, only yousuf and younis will make the cut. rest have some serious flaws that needs to be looked at.
