Shoaib Finally Crossed the 100mph!

That too, Only in the first inning. Look at the last test they just won, he didn’t bowl a single over in second inning.

AK

Well that nut came in and blew away 5 of the 6 wickets he took with just super pace, no inswingers or anything, just pace.
And you are saying having pace is nothing.

Asif btw, Shoaib injured his ankle, he was sent back to the pavillion, Mizbah ul Haq was his replacement.
He didn’t hurt himself while bowling fast, I bet you would love to see Shoaib or any Pakistani player in form get injured especially Shoaib, who is proving every single Indian guppie wrong that just fast pace can take wickets.

This quote from cricinfo match report says that Shoaib why Shoiab left.
"Devoid of its most potent weapon, the pace ace Shoaib Akhtar resting his swollen left ankle, the Pakistan attack still had enough firepower to bowl out the Black Caps

Unlike India, Pakistan doesn’t have to rely on just one bowler to take wickets like Kapil Dev.
Our other bowlers stood up and took wickets, and this time it was Danesh Kaneria.

Yeah, if Pakis keep up this attitude of Singing to Heavens players like Shoab, unsung players will no longer have the motivation.
Who wants to do a thankless job?

Cricket is TEAM game!!!

If I were his manager I would advice Shoab to acquire guile. Imran, Zaher and Wasim are rgiht there!!!
It will be a pity if such experience goes wasted.

Umair, Why do you think that I would be happy to see him or any Pakistani player get Hurt ? Pakistan is not even playing against India. Btw, I knew it was his ankle, This time it is ankle, some time it is his back and then sometimes..well I better not say. Shoaib is not proving anyone wrong here, he has always bowled fast, This time he is getting wickets, because he is accurate and bowling intelligently.

Pakistan would have won this test even If Inzamam were to bowl to the Kiwis.

About Kapil, If you didn't know he retired in 1994, and since then India has won more tests than when he was around. And unlike you we have beaten the might Australians as well with just one spinner and 3 medium pace bowlers.

And how many times you have beaten the mighty Australians outside India.
I rest my case!

Heroes home, Zeroes aboard.

Nobody is trying to trash Shoab's acheivement here.
Infact we are proud as sub-continentals!!!

All we are trying to say is there is much more to bowling than crossing 100 miles per hour, commendable though the acheivement is.

As for your question on his achievement, all I ask is watch the first four wickets he took against the latest test match at lahore... He bowled so many inswinging yorkers, mediocre bowlers cant do that... Apart from that he was bowling bouncers, slower ones regularly... This is world class bowling baby!!

Just wait buddy when we play those Aussies at home the next time.
All I have to say them is “just bring it!!!”

I admit kapil was a great bowler but claiming that he could be faster than what he was is totally untrue.

Shoaib is gifted , like thompson, holding etc, not everyone can bowl fast. Bowling fast deliveries always gives the batsmen a sense of fear and that is where the fast bowlers have an psychologically advantage on them, its upto the fast bowler how he can utilize his advatage and not carried away with it...

Wasim and Waqar lost their pace but their loads of expereince and skill they are still considered as the fearsome strike bowlers and I bet if it was upto to them they would have loved to bowl fast but they cant.

The good thing about Shoaib is that he is constatnly mixing his deliveries and thas why he is being so successful..

Those that rely on one man Tendulkar are telling us that it is a Team Game.

Hilarious.

If you have the Gavaskars and Tendulkars, we have also had our Javed Minadads, Zaheer Abbas', Inzaman's, Saeed Anwars, etc.

And let the records show that when India and Pakistan have met, Pakistan have had the superior record.

Let's just keep it at that.

Whats the point of this discussion going on??

Shoaib broke the 100 miles barrier, Pakistan is eating its opponents, Shoaib is also knocking out stumps... Why are our Indian budz so annoyed about this? Now they are concerned about his health too? lol... Yorkers at 100MPH are very lethal... So shouldnt he bowl them?

Im glad they didnt let him bowl in the second innings, other bowlers ought to get some chances too and the situation was safe to introduce them, Pakistan has so many good bowlers (sadly SOME teams dont have even one)...

The Rawalpindi Express is something not every chummy cricket team can have in their side...

I anticipate another wave of criticism posts when he breaks 105mph!

Yes, I remember the Yateem look on the Entire Pakistan Team, When Sri Lanka was pasting entire Team in the Asian Test Championship (I also noticed that after the 1999 world Cup Final against Australia, When You guys stoned the houses of Wasim Akram and other players.) Also another recent case when one of your guys Robbed Shoaib's mother immidiately after his superb performance against NZ. That is called 'YATEEM' when your own people desert you.

AK

Who are you? we will do what we like to our players? go worry about ur 10dulkar 0 0 8

And to know the difference between YATEEM go compare the face of that yateem of yours with our shoaib you will see the difference. Go watch the barbados magic and you will see that yateem while apealing so hard to atleast get one wicket thats what called yateem.

Again I can’t stop imagening that yateem for a wicket

Once again, showing you true Indian colors, who even mentioned the Pakistani losses which are really few compared to your pathetic performance against the 2nd worst team in the world, forget Srilanka, look what is happening to your one hit wonder friends, btw for a reminder your so called god Tendulkur is being humiliated by low class Westindian bowlers.

Fix your own problems first then comeback and criticize us on our losses, atleast we made it into the world cup finals to loose badly to the Australians, your team couldn't even beat Zimbabwe, what a shame.
As far as ATC is concerned, atleats we were brave enough to play in the tournament, you knew another humilition was on your way and couldn't stand loose another one against Pakistan at home, so made excuses and pulled out, I don't think India wanted to see another one when Shoaib Akhtar blow away wickets of your Dravid and Tendulkur consectively, if Tendulkur can't even play against Dillon, how much humiliation he will suffer at the hands of our fast bowlers.
