What you guys think.. Can Shoaib break the
100 Mph barrier?
18.6 Shoaib Akhtar to Astle, no run, even quicker, 151kph, forward in
defence, pushing away towards extra cover
18.5 Shoaib Akhtar to Astle, no run, a beauty! and very, very well
played, an attempted yorker, dug out from teh toes back on the off
side of the pitch, 150kph, Astle has a wry smile on his face after
that one
18.4 Shoaib Akhtar to Astle, FOUR, whoa! fastest of the season again,
151kph, Astle hops on the crease, getting an inside edge past the
stumps, down to the very fine leg boundary
extraordinary stuff this, Shoaib is rocketing them in, and this
pair are just surviving, scoring at a quick rate, not all of it
has been convincing, but they’re getting away with it, to the
distraction of Shoaib
18.3 Shoaib Akhtar to Astle, no run, full on off stump, firmly driven
straight to extra cover
18.2 Shoaib Akhtar to Astle, FOUR, super quick at 147kph, Astle slashes
and gets a thin edge, flying just wide of Moin leaping to his
right, rockets into the fine boundary, technically an incredibly
difficult drop by poor Moin
Look above he was just a few km away from
getting it.. I think one day he will break
the record set by an Australian..
If he could control his line and length and hold on to his catches, he will serve Pakistan cricket team better than trying to break the 100mph barrier and giving away numerous runs.
aise fast bowl karne ka koi faida nahin, the just put their bat n it goes to the boundaries, once in a blue moon he bowls good, that also when its his first match after a recovery after that he always gets injured!!!!!

As long as he controls his line, lenght & fields well.. then i m sure he'll be able to break the 100mph record... but control is much more imp. than breaking some record..
Wonder how many boundaries he has given to fine leg and third man.
In his attempts to break speed barriers, (something that doesnt matter much to the team) he will lose his arm in a couple of years and will have a premature end to his career.
He should tone down his speed by 5 mph, and correct his bowling action, and bring some unpredictability to his deliveries. Right now, all he has is speed. If the batsman gets the bat on the ball, its a 4. If not, its either back to the keeper, or knocks off the stumps. But he cant rely on it blindly the way he does.
It would be better for him and the team if he slowed down some pace and bowled more sensibly, in other words a better line and lenght: take Glenn McGrath for example!!!!
Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.
The guys was shooting at around 145 km/hr...and was getiing his ass wipped....later on in his last spell, he cut down his speed by about 20 km/h and was on a hatrick chance......
I think the guy needs some sort of councelling....I believe that the senior players in the team are at fault. Wasim and Waqar are largely responsible for not guiding him rightly, infact they approved that Shoaib should go for the 100mph barrier.
