I will repeat it again, IF he is really match fit, he MUST go with the team. With Sami and Umer Gul out, and Shabbir needs time to get back in rythem, it would be injustice to drop Akhtar. To team and to his own career. I say, give him another chance and if Salim Altaf see any sign of his attitude, he should be kicked out forever. And I am serious, forever. He should be told that before taking him to WI so he would know what he needs to do. Play cricket and maintain decipline. I know its hard, but if can't do it, he will shoot in his own feet. Its his choice, simply.
But if he is not fit, he should not insist on his fitness. He should rest as England tour is ahead and he will have enough time to play county and make money.
Rana and Shabbir will need another bowling partner. Rao will be the only choice in this case, he is not bad at all.
