Shoaib Akhtar’s 5 Year Banned Remove For 1 Month

LAHORE: An appellate panel Sunday decided to suspend the five-year ban on Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar for one month.

The next hearing of the appellate tribunal will now be held in the first week of June.

The suspension of the ban on the fast bowler imposed by Pakistan Cricket Board has revived expectation that Akhtar could play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders.

Shoaib was banned for five years in April by the PCB for breaching the players’ code of conduct.

This 5-year ban have become a joke of all sorts. Why remove for a month, for IPL? Either do it completely or remove the defamation suits and whatnot. So the lawyers on both sides of the table have mutually agreed to cut Nasim Ashraf a raw deal from Akhtar's IPL sum of money?

and other breaking news is that.. Naseem Ashraf have pardoned Shoaib Actor and he will with draw the case against Shoaib. Sources said that current federal interior adviser Rahman Malik is behind this patch up.

The selection of pictures by CricInfo in the recent Shoaib Akhtar articles are just marvelous. The day he was shown with a wide open mouth, jaw hanging from bottom, he received a 5-year ban and a defamation suit on top. Presumably they will "remove" the ban for 2 months next year too so he can play IPL again. And the year after. And after. Till the dude's head explodes with all the steroids he takes. Kolkatta are probably the 2nd worst team in IPL right now with 2 wins and 4 losses. Surely, adding Shoaib will magically improve their bowling prowess. May be the other batsmen will refuse to come out to bat fearing world's fastest bowler coming in at them. This is the best possible outcome for everyone. Pakistan just exported its biggest problem to India and now Shah Rukh Khan can do in-person auditions for his next movie. Congratulations!
