Guys one question to every one, will we ever see this guy bowl for Pak again? Is he hurt? why do they keep dropping him? For some odd reason my heart says he will bowl in Semi and wil be against India, and could perform well lets hope he does, or maybe Tendulkar gets his revange back for Kolkatta 99 and also few days ago Shoaib called him out too…

You think Riaz is better? He's expensive and has no incisiveness. Akhtar has been dropped for one poor over, that too against a batsman he had dismissed twice earlier in the match if not for Akmal.

Akhter has been droped for cursing akmal in dressing room after Akmal dropped taylor twice of his bowling against NZ

And he deserved that bollocking, those drops cost us the match. If we play Riaz against India or Australia it would be suicide. I'd actually be happier with Junaid Khan playing.

I would still go with shoaib Akhtar in semi --

He is much experienced and nippy than riaz ..and He is a wicket taking bowler

Wahab Riaz should've played earlier matches to get in the rhythm but he was overlooked for Shoaib and now team wants to use Wahab over Shoaib.

Thats the height of stupidity. Pakistan should have tried Junaid too in at least one game against minnows

I think Akhtar will be brought into the SEMI FINAL. Regardless if its INDIA or AUS that makes it there...they will play him just to get that extra pace edge.

Riaz hasnt done anything to justify his inclusion ahead of Akhter. I definately think Akhter should play in the Semis ahead of Riaz and hopefully the Final too. Akhter is a big match player and will be going all the way to impress in his last 2 games for Pakistan.

Akhtar just needs to be utilized correctly by Afridi and his inclusion and performance can prove to be key in the semi-final. He should be introduced at key junctures and rotated with careful deliberation and the rest should be fine. He should replace Riaz who hasn't performed in the last two games.

Akhter has only gotten 3 wickets in 3 matches with avg. of 40.66 in this world cup. His Econ has been 5.08 worst of all Pakistani Bowlers in this WC. Yet am convinced that he is a much much better over wahab in the semifinals.

He got the key wicket of Jayawardene against SL and triggered their downfall. He would've won us the NZ match too if not for Kamran Akmal. He's a wicket taker, if we wanted economy we might as well throw in Rao Iftikhar.

I think Indian and Australian batsmen will beat the hell out wahab Riaz if he was to bowl 10 overs.
