shoaib akhtar the draame baaz (merged)

This draama baaz guy has again become injured. I m sick of his injuries. For how long we are going to bear this wite elepehnt on our team. He is also responsible for shattering the team discipline.

Kick his ass. MAy be we suffer for 1-2 years, then we will get some otehr bolwer.

yeah i agree dat the recent injury is nothing but just a ‘drama’ :hoonh:
… he should have continued bowling even if he was having injury on his left hand… his non-bowling hand

The difference between the two players is due to a little thing called "insecurity". While Kamal is fighting to cement his place in the team, his highness Shoaib Akhtar thinks he is indispensable to the side no matter what he does or doesn't do - u can see it in his body language.

Shoaib Akhtar should learn some modesty from Tendulkar - who is as big a star as Akhtar if not bigger - but does not wear his ego up his sleeves.

Very well said
-Salman

How come his back was so injured yesterday that he could not take the field and today he is batting with relative ease and comfort.

The guy does this quite often, and walks out on pretence of being injured and then either goes jet skiing or dancing with Indian actors. This is really pathetic. Shame on him.

Also read this, from another thread.

Rameez, Inzamam unhappy with Shoaib’s attitude, mood swings](Daily Jang: Urdu News - Latest Breaking News update Pakistan - jang.com.pk)

Tendulkar is far more big star then this stupid shoaib. He has more interest in posing and shwoing off. He forgot that he himself is nothing apart from cricket, Gen tauqir ne sur pur charha lia tha. yeh usi ka nateeja hai.

It doesnt matter if he performs well after 10-15 matches. coz his performance and most imp. attitude is very much damaging for other players.

I dont agree with some1 fully. even waseem n waqar dont have attitude like this man shoaib. He must be thrown out immediately

thats why tendulkar is a living legend while shoaib as yet will just be forgotten

yea, he alwayz ends up makin some lame excuse not to play if pak is losin the series...this isn't the first time he has done somethin like that...

oh well...

and the way they portray everythin, our "strong bowling attack" is a one man show, i.e. shoaib...

hopefully after this series, pcb will realize how "strong" and "reliable" our bowling attack is :p

Atleast shoaib may win academy award on his great performance..

Shoaib with figures of 3-47 was Pakistan's best bowler in this game until his 'injury'. My question to Rameez, Miandad and Inzimam would be if this guy is so disruptive of team spirit why keep picking him? It's the responsibility of the management and coach to instil unity and discipline in the team and if they are picking a player who they think is counter-productive to that then who's fault is that?

During the course of last few series, Shoaib produced goods for pakistan on consistent basis. And do not forget that he carried an injury against South Africa in first test, still played and produced goods so let us not jump to conclusions and start maligning him to the hilt. He has been a vastly improved team man in last few series.

And that particular incident in the match, he was trying really hard and the wrist was obviuosly hurt, so it seemed believable. I cannot see whats in his heart so wont malign him.

Regarding the concerns Inzi and Miandad had raised regarding his injury; kindly consider how frustrated inzi and miandad are right now due to Shoaib's failure to produce goods on consistent basis in this series so their doubts are understandable.

I personally give him the benefit of the doubt considering his attitude and commitment he has shown in last year and the whole-hearted performances, despite no results, in this series. He had excellent figures and had every chance to improve on his series figures so his injury concerns may have been true.

Well said saby…once again a voice of reason amongst the usual mob howling for a scapegoat :k:

I read Sami’s interview and he was saying how good it was for him to bowl alongside Shoaib so I’m not sure how much of this team being against him is true.

Every player should be kept in line regardless, no one is bigger than the team and if that is happening then let’s put the blame where it truly lies with the team selectors and management.

Is it though?

He sat out whole of yesterday and showed absolutely no signs of any injury today. Must be a miracle healer. Probably that explains why he recovered so quickly in NZ to go jet skiing and disco dancing in SA. The guys attitude sucks and he is not a team man. I for one have no time for his childish behaivour and tantrums. Bowling wise I rate him, as a team man :nook:

And it is not howling and jumping down his throat. The guy has down it virutally every series. You can’t fool people all the time. When the chips are down thats when you have to perform. He should take a lesson or two from Asim Kamal about putting the team and country before his own self and his bloated ego.

Someone should tell him to try out the Indian actresses instead. :)

Is this really the first time taht he is doing this.....
No dears this is happening time and again. that this guy of yours becomes injured due to some mistery reasons. so unable to bowl when getting pittai . n comes back when some other bowler gets wicket.

Sure he has taken 3/47 but do u ppl think that these are excellent figures for the whole series,
N also it is not a scape goat thing. Sami also has not performed well but Y ppl r not talking so much abt his attitde rather n abt shoaib coz sami atleast tried to give his best for the team n country n the heat of 40+ calcius , while this guy bored of his pittai and feared of getting more of it just ran away . Chicken isnt he.

Lets put this 3/47 in prespective. His analysis for the series against India:

7/297 an average of 42.43 runs per wicket, and he is supposed to be our main strike bowler. No wonder he was refusing to come out yesterday to bowl.

Ok if we want to look at it in perspective, what are his career stats? After all why call for his head after one series?

If his attitude sucks and I wouldn't argue that he's a big girl's blouse sometimes, why keep picking him?

BTW I agree with Mr. Xtreme that management is equally responsible but shoaib too.
