Re: Shoaib Akhtar: a medical marvel

I bet still Wasim and Waqar can win more matches than he can for Pakistan.

What a filthy mouth person he is and the people who are on the openion that "we dont care what is he saying as far as he is taking wickers" are actually who bows to the rising sun.

Let me repeat what i always say "Shoaib should not be selected in the team due to his attitude, ignorence, misconduct, disrespect towards Pakistan and its Heros and whatever rubbish he speaks and do irrespective of that he is a good bowler."

People are getting fed up of his advantures. Persist with Youngster for next 15/20 games and you will not even feel a need for him.

"With [Glenn] McGrath and [Jason] Gillespie softening them up, then I come on, I'd have got more wickets than anyone ever. Because when I play for Pakistan, with Wasim [Akram] and Waqar [Younis] they are in decline. They were great but they're not matchwinning bowlers any more. So I have to make it all happen on my own. There is so much expectation on my shoulders."

Well Said.
Did you get the point Umair.
You dont need to support some idiot on all issues just because you happen to be his/her fan.

Totally disgusted on his comment about Wasim and Waqar :disgust:

How can he say the world’s greatest cricketer isn’t a match winner? Wasim is still a match winner and he would be even when he’s 50.

When was the last time this fool won a match for Pakistan? As far as I can remember, he won the Super Challenge Series last year and that too with the help of Wasim.

How can anyone bash their own team mates and the world’s greatest bowling duo?

Can he ever shut his mouth and let his bowling do the talking?! :mad3:

No he cant.He knows as long as he has fans like Umair he can keep doing it and still survive.
People need to outright reject his behaviour

You guys - leave the poor guy alone. He is right - He would have taken more wickets if he had played along with Mcgrath and Gillespie.

With Wasim and Waqar in the team, by the time he comes to bowl most of the wickets are taken by the 2 Ws :)

Fair and Balance - Your love for umair kind of confirms what I said on the other thread. :D

and what was that?
My comments are based on issues not the personalities.

he is not modern marvel. He is straight up fool.

A nut like him should think twice before he opens his mouth and should look at his own "khaamiya" before he points out others. If it wasn't for him getting bent over by tendulkar we would not have been embarassed like we were.

And out of everybody he is trampling on his brothers grave's to put up punks like McGrath and Lee and Warne.

hmm 2-69. yup he indeed is much better than Wasim and Waqar. Especially Wasim since Wasim hasn't "won us a match since 1996".

On a more serious note, I'm happy he got thrashed. Some more performances like this and Shobby you get ready to put up a chaat stall in Pindi.

I don't make any apologies for saying that as long as he's doing the business he should be in the team. Talking like a fool isn't a capital offence and I think this is being taken way out of context.

There are only three reasons he should be booted out:

1) he performs consistently badly so isn't worth his place anyway.

2) There are better bowlers available.

3) He won't toe the line as far as discipline is concerned.

I can guarantee that if he was taking 3 wickets every match then no one would be complaining so this talk about him being a terrible character is taken with a pinch of salt.

i have to seriously Question ur Momery over this
Waqar wasim, bowled WI out at MCG in 97. Waqar also took 4 wickets in the first final too. Waqar in 2000 single handedly won the tournament at sharjah against india and SA, what he did next year in england can also not be forgotten, through out that period he has continued on taking 2-3 wickets each game, and more importantly on crucial stages.

so How can u say that atleast Waqar has not won us a game since 1996????

^ first, I though I will just ignore you but now you're really beginning to get my goat. how ****ing stupid are you?

what I wrote it the quotes was a quote from Akhtar's interview with the Guardian. Do you get it now? Jesus Christ.

yeah with him, u never know!

sorry guys, don't mean to be rude but if you don't understand what I'm saying: either ask me what I mean or just shut up. Don't assume something and go off on a tirade.

Ask anybody who's been around here for a while what I could have meant there.
