My nani makes the mooosst ahh-mazing shaljam achar ever. And she makes two kinds. One is a little sweet and one is salty/sour. Let me know if you want the recipes. This recipe has been in our family for generations.

Here is the picture of it , it was ready yesterday and half of it is gone already. Yum yum , we ate it with Arhar key daal key kitchri.

I got our neighbours recipe - they do not put it in the sun, instead they boil it and then add lal mirch, raye (kut kar), salt and ginger garlic paste and keep it for another day to be consumed in the next two days!

seems like a fast method , but if it is not pickled under the sun , it will not taste it same I guess , I will try this recipe too.

My aunty (Gujarati) makes a pepper and carrot pickle which I love

It is Lemon juice, hing (asoefetida), rai, chilli and then she slices peppers, carrots and green chillies.. It is so so so yum
