I got our neighbours recipe - they do not put it in the sun, instead they boil it and then add lal mirch, raye (kut kar), salt and ginger garlic paste and keep it for another day to be consumed in the next two days!
seems like a fast method , but if it is not pickled under the sun , it will not taste it same I guess , I will try this recipe too.
