^ Not really, some places in pakistan can charge from 25 to 50,000 (400-800 $), 300 is pretty normal here..

i am just surprised that girls are willing to pay that much for makeup...that they ll wash off at night....!! yikes..
yeah i paid 14000..but that was for makeup,mehndi,and the hair/dupatta..

^ I think thats average/slightly higher.... i know 25-50 is way too much and thank God it's not the majority. Decent makeup can be done for 10-20 as well.

yeah...the lady that i am getting mine done from is charging $50 for makeup...$25 for the hair...but if i get ready at the venue...then she ll charge me an extra $20 'location fee' mehndi is $40... and i m doing my own nails...(i did em for the nikah)!!
waxing..i do it myself...and save $150 every month....i cant do facials...i have very sensitive skin...so hopefully it will turn out to be economical.. :)

Anything additional that you do she does charges extra beside the hair/make-up, sometime she even charges extra for duppata setting, (one of my friend mentioned), all the brides to be make sure that you get every information ahead of time before booking her.

Always make sure that she is the one getting the brides ready, as sometime she sends her neice to the brides instead of her going (which is not worth the amount and if she is not doing the job herself) I've notice that some people have the bad experience with her.

i had shirley done my makeup on both my wedding and walima… i never went for a trial but on the day of wedding i brought a magazine with me and i told her thats the kind of look i want … the experience was greatttttttt… i went to her house to get ready and my sis, sis in law both got ready with me as well by her…
