Hey all,
Does anyone here know the cheapest and reliable option to ship clothes from Karachi to Melbourne specifically or to USA, UK etc..?
So far i have come across Pakistan Post but have been told it’s highly unreliable so wondering what is the medium being by budding online sellers here?
Re: Shipping options from Karachi to Melbourne
Lots of sellers use Skynet if the goods are not high value or urgent. With international shipping there is always an element of risk, even with companies like DHL/FedEx. The only difference is the level of tracking and therefore if it goes missing at any stage, it's more likely to be recovered. I've always received my items that have been sent with Skynet but there needs to be awareness that the 4-5 days they quote may end up being 7 days since the packages change hands between different companies.
Otherwise, sellers use companies like DHL but via an agent. The cost is only marginally more than Skynet but then the reliability of the agent really matters and it usually takes 1-2 days more than DHL direct.

Do you where can i find the rate card of Skynet because their website is totally broken? Thanks!
Re: Shipping options from Karachi to Melbourne
If you go to skynet directly, make sure to check their rate card and ask them to recalculate the charges based on the actual weight. They tend to over charge from the actual rates.
If the package is heavier, you can check with PIA too as I've heard they offer really reasonable rates but you have to drop the parcel to the airport yourself. Have never use PIA option myself though.

I am guessing you mostly use Skynet ? If so, how has been the experience so far? I am still struggling to find their rate card online as their website is not loading up properly.

Re: Shipping options from Karachi to Melbourne
I stopped using skynet a couple of years back when they lost my parcel. Its an okish service, not too bad but I cannot afford to keep refunding the clients if they do that again so I'd rather not take that risk.
For international parcels I use DHL only and get pretty good rates compared to the amount on their website (still higher than skynet obviously). Call skynets' customer services and ask for specific rates. They will most likely ask you the weight. First kg is charge a lot higher but second kg on ward, charge per kg is lower.
