i am new to this forum and has been referred by a friend
actually my sister is getting married early next year and she will move to usa after getting married. We had bought lots of stuff for her jahez since last year but recently her fiance move to usa and she will have to move to usa with him after getting married…they would be getting a new house there so thats why my mom suggest we should send all this stuff (kitchen ware, bed sheets set, dinner sets etc) to usa so that she can use it there… we heard the flght only allow 22 kg x 2 lugguge so in that we think only her clothes and jewellery can be send.. we had to either post the other things or ship it but we dont have any idea how to do that and how much will it cost.
can someone plez help

but please don't send electronics kyunki electronics will not work in usa because usa is on a different voltage system and the shape of the plugs is different than in pakistan
usa mein only 110 V chalta hai
as for how to ship everything I wish I knew....because I'm going to be brinigng my hubby with me to USA so we have to bring all his stuff too so I also need this information that you are requiring
check out the DHL services. I know in karachi my aunt send my cousion the wedding dresses and such things through that. She is sending my another cousion her wedding stuff as well throught it so check that out.
I agree electronics do not work here. So dont waste your money on that.
It would be nice to send bed sets, curtains and decorative pieces. Kitchen ware weights a lot and you can find nice stuff here as well.
Please do not send anything super expensive because it is gonna be a long way till she gets it and you cant really trust people.
Using a courier service will be VERY expensive. The most economical option is to book additional luggage when she is coming to the States. My family is in Toronto and if we bring an addiotnal suitcase it's about 8-12 thousand...for 28 kgs. If you were to get 28 kgs using a courier servcie you'd be paying 3-4 times more. You should check with the airline and get an accurate quote. I hope this helps!

I can give you some more recent cost after november 15 since that's when my aunt is gonna ship my cousion's wedding stuff.
If you really think about it then 12,000 rupees is about $150 which is not bad at all.
no it isn't I'd prefer it doing excess baggage on plane ...because it gets shipped directly to my door...I won't have to make room for the excess baggage in my car or haul it from baggage claim to car and then from car to home :p

I have no idea about prices but you can google them and find them out.. All of them are seperate entities with different offices and pick up points spread all over the country.. Please google them to find more details!
Why don't you just give her money to buy whatever she and her husband-to-be wanna buy. Kitchenware etc. are pretty unnecessary to haul all the way from Pakistan.

we didnt knew that she will have to move to usa and we had start shopping earlier but recently her fiance got the visa and he moved to usa. we wont give her electronics and instead we will give her money to buy it from there but she had did lots of shopping like bought at least 50 suits and 3 or 4 bed sheets set..kitchen ware and many more like jewellery, shoes, bags etc so thats y we thought to send all those to usa so that she could use it there
