No matter how rich these people are I have noticed that our Pakistani Brides are much better...these bollywood women just bath in huge ass jewelry nothing else...but if its cultural/religious thing then i am sorry...but if its a style/choice then i am sorry for them!
i don't think many people realize the worth, value, and weave of the sari she is wearing! it's very difficult to see. furthermore, you can't compare this look to the one's we're used to seeing on pakistani brides, because it is the traditional south indian hindu style (among those from karnataka, which is why aishwarya's look was so similar!).
this is also a series of pics of the actual wedding ceremony. typically, they have a reception w/ several outfit changes, that the media rarely gets access to. (this is because more VIP's attend the reception than the extremely long wedding ceremony.) i feel that the outfits worn at the receptions are more in tune with the design aesthetic so many of you girls are accustomed to and like.

completely agree. One can really appreciate only after experiencing/understanding the cultures/norms. Like when my mom sends me nice bareeze and other fancy lawns/cottons, some ppl in india esp in south think my clothes are bit too plain for their liking, but I can really appreciate the colours wagerah because thats what I grew up with.
So before we 'grill' ppl celeberties/anyone about their taste just think for a second where they are coming from.
Re: BRIDAL PICS.
I don't understand why people are so keen on arguing such ridiculous things in this forum.
Why do people take it so personally when someone says they find Indian/Bollywood weddings tacky, or that they don't like designer xyz's bridal outfits? It's their opinion, they're entitled to it (just as you're entitled to disagree), so lets move on. There's no point in having these long, drawn-out arguments.
Shilpa is looking GORGEOUS on her sangeet. I have never seen her hair like that, she’s glowing!

and her sangeet, and her engagement and who knows how many more times! lol
i do like the jewellry but she should have switched it up a little. but at the same time im noticing thats definitely in ALOT with indian brides recently.

I don
I don't care what the worth, value xyz of this sari is...i didn't pay for it, i haven't seen it in real and i am not as weird to go into such details about someone else's dress...i was talking about the visual over all look...which is way beyond being over the top you didn't like my comment should have kept your trap shut and ignored it rather then telling me something i don't care about! I am comparing the look which is all aesthetic not the cultures yada blada so you can't tell me not to compare...ash rai's clothes looked just as bad as hers.
I don't care about how many receptions and functions they have why the hell are you even getting into all this? what is up with you? why are you taking it all so personally did any of this mention you and your choice anywhere so you should grow up and learn to respect other peoples opinions rather then thopofying yours on them! i end this conversation here since this is not an argument forum.

AGREE! when people disagree with opinions of the people in this forum its perfectly fine with them because they feel they are just expressing their thoughts and education others while they cant tolerate the fact that others have their own opinions too.

I think you're taking this too personally...she wasn't saying you're wrong for not liking it, she just said the style is different than what most of us are used to. Geez....I can't believe such a small comment resulted in a paragraph long lecture on your part.
