Its bullying which stems from ignorance which stems from fear of what one does not know.
I cant jump on the racist bandwagon as I dont think it is.
I feel sorry for all of them really. Jade for being thick, Shilap for being a wuss, Jo for being in S club 7, Cleo for having all that ginger hair, Dirk for being in a one way relationship, 'H' for being an pansy and Jermaine for that haircut oh we musn't forget Danielle for being a scouser. :D

:D It does all stem from ignorance but there seems to be a fine line between ignorance and racism.
Hmm, I dont think so though, I may be wrong, but to me, ignorance is what people don't know, what they fear sort of. Well, its a part of ignorance anyway.
Racism is...well I cant really define it, as I don't think calling someone a paki is racist. I call my dad a paki all the time, in fact freshi and he doesnt have a problem with it at all, cos he knows he is one innit. :p
I do know that ignorance cannot be taught. Racism can.
I get your point mercenary2k...No matter how much indians lick goras ass at workplaces..or try and act like goray they are still not known as brits but as asian brits (or shall we say pakis in the eyes of the goras who can't tell the difference :D )I've come across indians that don't wanna talk to pakis when they're with goray let alone being friends with us...but on the other hand, we can not say the same for all indians...i've come across good indians too.
Now let's stick to the topic shall we :) Don't say anything bad about shilpa...ok :D
I haven't seen any of BB episode, but this is a utopia of any discussion or guppain here at gs, why on earth guppies cann't stick to the topic and make it their personal agenda about it :o
take a chill pill or sit in the fridge or keep it underneath you while typing at GS :p
hmm mercenary2k has an interesting point. even though i feel bad for what is happening to shilpa dont forget one important thing. to a gora a paki is an indian and vice versa. they dont really give a *. ia m sure most of you like me in the states have first hand exp in this. Keeping that in mind i am glad shilpa has come to this kind of show representing the desi community (regardless of indian or not, c'on shez brown and desis are an important part of both the uk and us pop). ive seen most of the clips and it seems liek a very clear case of racism (F c;on we have a black guy there too pick on him lol but no he does not have an accent)......
mercenary is right in the fact that shilpa might have thought everyone knew her but got a tough reality check (it sucks i guess when your A list in bollywood and nothing abroad).
thats my 2 cents....
p.s please leave the india bashing alone here cuz we all know how goras see pakistan in the states... plz lets not go there......bottom line BROWN POWER BABY......i hope she wins
This is a huge reality check for Indians and Pakistani's who think that by wearing English clothes, dancing to English Music and eating the same foods will mean they are accepted and seen as equals.. we never will be accepted..
The chavs ie Danielle, Jade, Jack, JAckie and Joe are ignorant and thus racist from ignorance.. They are bullies and it all stems from non acceptance of ppl who do not fit their mould.. (racism) and ignorance because they don't even know what an envryo is..
You are seeing the white low class of England but being British myself there are many Brits who may feel the same way as in don't accept asians truly into their society but have enough education and thirst for knowledge to understand about the difference in culture and not express themselves so negatively.. they're also many Brits who don't care two hoots what colour you are and I wish to prove that I have many close friends who love me more for my beautiful skin colour and dignified manner...
Ian (Steps Guy) is not racist and he is British and he is sweet..We shouldn't concentrate on the negatives..
Jermaine and Dirk actually provide an indicator of Upper Class Americans .. I'm sure if you had one of the guests of Jerry Springer on from the US they would come up with the same crap as Jade..
I am ashamed to be British because what I have known for a long time but most Indians haven't realised is that no matter what we do we will never be truly accepted by the majority of the gora's... especially as we have many beautiful things in our culture most importantly dignity, respect and shame which western folk (especially gora's) see as wrong...
I'm personally horrified that Shilpa will leave with this impression of all young girls in england being like jade/danielle/jo because that is simply not true.
However this highlights the deeper underlying problem that has existed since decades but not really brought to the fore ....
I personally dont think that this issue is worth too much talk or mention. But there is wild public outcry ..... does this means that racism is there to certain extent in britan.

I agree with taht.. and its the 1st time general public and authorities are forced to take notice of this mass "Cultural Ignorance" in British society.
PS: this is the reason I am following CBB, not for Shilpa.
