Re: Shiite and Sunnis scholars perform prayers together

That is what happens in most of world, I myself prayed many times behind shi'a Immam and many of my friends who are praying behind Sunni Immams.
But I do not see this in Pakistan.

Re: Shiite and Sunnis scholars perform prayers together

If they started praying behind each other then the dividing scholars will have to share the booty (chanda/donations/power etc).

Re: Shiite and Sunnis scholars perform prayers together

SubhaanAllah, many of your sunni friends pray behind sunni Imams and you being a **shia **pray behind a shia imam, so what?

Re: Shiite and Sunnis scholars perform prayers together

Shias always talk about shia sunni unity when they are in need of this unity, or the unity goes in favour of them. In Afghanistan, these shias opposed Talibans and supported Americans, then these shias and their guardian Iran didn't remember these lessons of shia sunni unity.

In Iran, the state religion is Ja'fari madhab (shi'ism), and the President or Prime Minister must be a shia and he can't be a Sunni, then there is no masjid of Sunnis in Tehran because they are not allowed to have a separate masjid, then these shias don't remember these lessons of shia sunni unity.

In Iraq, they isolated Sunnis and supported Americans strategically and politically and didn't remember these deceptions of Shia Sunni Unity.

But when their hizbullat is being kicked out by Kafir Zionists then they needed support from Arabs / Sunnis and started vomiting out khomeni's slogan 'la shia wa la sunniyah'.

Re: Shiite and Sunnis scholars perform prayers together

your analysis is right but both shias and sunnis do that....
sunni pakistanis and others also supported war against taliban...sunni arabs against sunni ottomans in WW1....many such examples in history
