shi'a/sunni vs. muhajir/punjabi

dunno if this goes in this section or the politics one…

my question is :

is there a relationship between teh two issues…for example, are the sunnis muhajir or the shia’s punjabi or vice versa..?

just a question to enhance the lil knowledge i have on this subject…

i dont really get it?

ok sheraz,
my question is :
is the majority of shi’a punjabi or is the majority of sunnis muhajir…like..is there a relationship between the beliefs of the people and the political sects?..its just a ‘pure’ question…nothing offensive (now that i know you follow shi’a ism)

i see,
thanks for clearing that one for me....
my nn is hard to type?..lol..onaizah here...hope that one won't feel weird....laterz.

Onaiza, religion, culture or race are all separate entities.

for e.g
Religion= like islam(subsets: sunni, shia etc) Chirisian/ Hindu wagaira wagaira
Culture= these are actually customs and traditions and can be domestic or national or is observed in more than one country.
Race= like Sindhi(native farmers and fishermen of Southern Pakistan), Pathans(decedents of the bani-Israelites) and so on..

fortunately or unfortunately, in Indo-Pakistan all these categories are so much overlapped and merged down that sometimes from a single term a group can be categorized.

That’s called symbolism.

i see zalim...
thanks for clearifying that...
after reading urs and sheraaz's responses...can i then assume that the two concepts arent related AT ALL?
