Re: Shia - Sunni Unity , One god , One religion , One ummah!
Brother, you rightly said that we should come forward and love each other no matter who we are and what sect we belong to. After all, we all are Muslims and we should respect each other.
The dispute between Shia and Sunni starts on the successor of the Holy Prophet i.e. Shia believes that it was Hazrat Ali's right whereas Sunni's say that there were indications from the Prophet (SAW) of Allah that Hazrat Abu Bakr should be the first Khalifah (caliph ) of Islam.
When you analyze carefully you will find that this dispute is not on Allah, not on Prophet Muhammad (SAW), not on Quran or the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) but on the successor of the Prophet (SAW). So, if someone believes this way or the other way does not exclude him from Islam. Therefore if one community calls the other "Kafir" then its totally wrong. Allah knows who is right or wrong. Instead of wasting our precious time on resolving this dispute, we should recite the Holy Quran with translation and try our best to understand its true message and teachings.
The meaning of Islam is Peace not Dispute or fight. Remember.
Wallah A'lam
