Before marriage i practised the sunni way of Islam, and 4 years ago i married a family member who follwed the Shia way. I have learned a tremendous amount from my hubby regarding shia Aqeedah and to be honest i have managed to get alot of my questions answered that i had when i was follwoing the sunni aqeedah… shias make sense when you look into things deeply…

Most fundamental difference b/w sunnies and shia is the way they believe on Imams.

some of the questins that i asked my hubby…

why is so much importance given to Imam Ali A.S.
why do shia do matam
what does shia mean
what happened to our Prophets family (peace be upon them all) after the death of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon Him)
How many children did our Prophet have
why do shias not accept or believe in the sunni khalifas
why do shias perform pray differently

these were the main questions as these were topics i had read about and just wanted answers from a shia really…

I have found a link to a website which i go through as it has alot of information on it… and to be honest i did go through this website with alot of speculation, and did alot of research… worth a look

to be honest, ive been looking through the religion and scripture forum and everything seems like its just sunni orientated and that shias dont use this forum so if you could please advise how to delete this thread as i dont want to offend anyone and i know that is exactly what is going to happen.... please advise of how to delete this thread
