Sherwani to the dry cleaners?

My sisters getting married in two weeks. Museebat ye hai kay I have a silk sherwani. Its a few years old but like most sherwanis worn only once before. It is pure silk and h as creases everywhere.

Question: can i just take it to a regualr dry cleaners here in teh states and have them “steam” it? Anyone have any experience with that? Will they ruin it?

I don’t want to do this at home as I KNOW i will burn the damn thing. Any advice? I don’t need it cleaned, just “ironed” I guess.

Re: Sherwani to the dry cleaners?

yes drycleaners should be able to dryclean and steam it for you. best to get both done!!

Re: Sherwani to the dry cleaners?

if its got kaam on it, tell them to turn it inside out before steaming it.
also, congratulations on your sister's wedding!
