Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

this churail is far far better than bhoots active in politics and practising black magic, killing human beings in the name of religion.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Not quite true, sir! Blasphemy laws were enacted to protect Islam from non-muslims like Qadianis, Christians and Hindus from insulting Islam. Non-muslims take Islam for granted and make it a habit of insulting our beloved prophet(pbuh) whenever they find some excuse to do so. Blasphemy laws were meant to stop such practices. Islam is the only reason we are a country of people from many races together. In my opinion, we should extend the extent of the blasphemy charges of and charge people from anywhere in the world who bad mouths Islam and/or Prophet(SAW) or his sahabas(ra).

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Except your opinion does not count for s***. The blasphemy laws that you talk of are the very ones our mullahs exploit for their own evil designs. Islam does not need blasphemy laws, Islam will prevail regardless of any non-Muslims trying to insult it.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

^ Who is this guy?

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

There are many countries where 'many races' live together peacefully, and for the record Pakistanis don't live with each other peacefully go check out the quota system to get started, MQM, JSQM, ANP, ST, JT etc etc. Prophet Mohammed PBUH tolerated hate and insults against himself, sahabas tolerated the hate/insults towards Prophet then who are we? Look at our own deeds first, we are light-years away from the dust of those sahabas/Prophet, how can we "defend" his respect when we indulge into all kinds of minor / major sins 24x7x365?

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

:cheer:

Glad you said it bhai.

Whilst I recognise that these blashpemy laws are sometimes overly exploited I see no reason why Pakistan should get rid of it’s blasphemy laws when most so called Western nations have thier own Blasphemy laws… and still nobody says they should lose thiers so why should Pakistan drop it’s own laws.

Rather why dont we introduce harsh sentences for unnessary rabble rouser Mullahs.

Surely a compromise is the best solution.

It takes time for changes and if people are going to just bash these laws they will do nothing but rouse a mob to protect them.

Best thing is to first establish a decent force of Law and Order and then implement the laws correctly.

I find it disturbing that the Islamic republic of Pakistan is a country where a rich rapist, murderer, looter can hide and where a poor man who says something silly gets the death penalty.

Not that i’m saying Blashpemy is not a crime, becuase yes it is and more sever when done on purpose but if we are to see any meaning to justice should we not focuss on the people who make the laws and break them rather than argue about wether the law is right or wrong.

At the end of the day Pakistan is a country that has a terrible legal system and is a mockery to justice and when you cannot serve Justice be it a law of man of God then every stray cow will lead to a bloodbath.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

What would Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) do if someone tried to insult him??? From everything I have read about him, I believe he would have simply forgiven, shown mercy and kindness. Supporters of the blashpemy law, should read and learn how the Prophet lived his life.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Well stated.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Well said but not enough for those who think they are more superior then Holy teachings.

I try to explain it little more the same logic in relgious fourm.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Today the religious fanatics were protesting against common sense and human rights.

How can any reasonable person support laws that violate human rights and are clearly against the teachings of Islam.

This is why Islam and politics should never have been mixed in Pakistan. Secular pakistan is what we need.

If the religious fanatics have a problem, we have latis to cure what ails them.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

It's about time Pakistan got rid of draconian laws.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

** “And when it is said to them: Make not mischief on the earth,' they say: We are only peacemakers.’ Verily, they are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not”[al- Baqarah 2:11-12]

**“The government should forget about amending the blasphemy law as any attempt in this regard will prove fatal,” a local religious leader Yahya Ludhianvi said.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

I hope the Blasphemy law is repealed. Christians like myself are afraid to even talk to anyone in public or act like normal citizens because we fear from this law that has killed innocent people.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

^
Hopefully they will see common sense, friend.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

I couldnt agree more. Pray Pakistan is rid of this evil.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

:chai:

I hear many more prayers for this Law to continue…

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Whats with the personal attacks on this sweet woman?

What she did should be applauded by every Pakistani.

I wish she would become Pakistani Ambassador to USA or UN. Having a sweet and pretty lady represent Pakistan will improve Pakistan's image around the world.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

I don't know what makes you say that you can't act like normal citizens, I don't want to offend by I had two 'very normal' Christian coworkers in Pakistan who didn't have problem talking/working normally, there was no animosity/hatred or any kind of issue between us while I was a bearded one.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

Because Pakistan is full of Jahaluth, so no surprise.

Re: Sherry submits bill for amending blasphemy laws

The blatant sexism in your post is appalling.
