IK’s stand is clear. The law should not be abolished but merely reviewed in order to prevent it’s misuse. Musharraf is saying the same thing. Even if some PTI members decided to join an anti-blasphemy rally fine. It does n’t mean IK has changed his stance or that he specifically asked them to do so. Even workers belonging to the same party can have disagreements on a few issues…IK does not have to agree with all of his party members and workers on every single point and vice versa

I have heard this over and over, on Pakistani news channels, from all the mullahs and other supporters of the law. But that’s just double-speak. How can you do anything about it when the first things mullahs do, upon any talk of amendments to the law, is to bring the country to a standstill and threaten people?
