ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed escaped unhurt in a firing attack in Islamabad on Thursday.
According to reports, unknown gunmen targeted the veteran politician near Zero Point in the federal capital.
Rasheed said a bullet hit his bullet proof vehicle when unknown gunmen opened fire. He was on his way home from Islamanbad. He submitted an application with the Aabpara Police Station for registration of an FIR.

shaikh sahab is a character of his own class, he's an asset to talk shows if nothing else. he's a good time pass if nothing else good is being shown on TV

It was in early days of ppp gov, the attackers emptied their bullet cartridges on his bodyguards thinking one of them is Sh Rashid while real Sh Rashid laid down and pretended to be dead. It is not known if this is the true story but this was reported in media at that time.
