Like I said it does not matter if boycotting is good or bad.

Not acknowledging someone’s freedom of choice is wrong.

It is not a matter of ‘somebody’s’ freedom of choice. Anyone can choose what to eat and what not but as TLK said making use of Quran and hadith for hurting your fellow country men should not be allowed. Moreover, instigating others and pressurizing them one way or the other to make same choices as you think better is also not right.

A whole lot of people use Hadeets and Quran in many different ways and as long as it is not directly harming anyone that should be acceptable for everyone. This is the whole basis of different sects and Ahmadis also have their own interpretations.

It should be ok to have difference of opinion. The purpose should be guiding people and making things easy for them rather than ‘fassad fil arz’ i.e., spewing hatred against some groups and then justifying it through holy scriptures.
