Shehzad, Kamran make comeback as Pakistan announce T20, ODI squads for WI series

Sarfraz Ahmed will lead both the squads.

                                    LAHORE (AFP) – Pakistan Wednesday recalled opener Ahmed Shehzad and Kamran Akmal in separate squads for the four-match Twenty20 and three-match one-day series in West Indies starting later this month.

Sarfraz Ahmed will lead both the squads with the first Twenty20 in Barbados on March 26. The remaining three matches will be played in Port of Spain on March 30, April 1 and 2.
The one-day matches are scheduled for April 7, 9 and 11 – all in Guyana.

Good to see that the youngsters who performed during the PSL have been given a chance to play for the national team. way to go forward.

Azhar dropped but UA fail in fitness test.

Sad to see malik still in the team… one youngster cud have been given chance. Ant one given whole series sure will perform better than malik

reason for failure in the test is that they r used to heavy food , payee , nihari … one is said to be chain smoker. how is this possible

Azhar is a great test player and should never have been part of the ODI set up.

Kamran Akmal, Malik …

Yeah that tells all the story…only Pakistan would be relying on such players, new players should have given chance instead of these one in 10 match performers…

Um.. no I think they do need one batsman who can stay on wicket for longer duration. And thats Azhar since there is no Misbah or YK. Also remember that in recent years Pakistan finds it really hard to finish all 50 overs without getting out.

I think with a little more experience Babar will be able to perform that role and also keep the score board ticking.

Now that Kamran Akmal is back, Pakistan’s wicket keeping woes are behind them.

I don’t think Kamran will be the first choice keeper. he will only keep wickets if Sarfraz is injured

He has been selected for his batting

Despite Kamran’s catching and stumping bloopers in the past, he was the best keeper in the recent PSL

Cannot believe Kamran Akmal is back. We endured his wicket keeping horror show for many years and now we have to witness him making a fool of himself in the field.
