Why is the price so expensive? I used to buy each pack for around $25, until my friend hooked me up with a 12-pack for free. Said they were really cheap in the mid-east.

The tobacco doesn’t burn dude. It is only heated. The number of carcinogens is significantly reduced.

I really don't get the idea behind sheesha. It doesn't really do anything (atleast cigarettes/hukka gives u some nicotine), and as someone pointed out the milky taste with the diff flavors isn't really all the pleasant. So is it just the ability to blow smoke out of ur mouth? kinda like smoking the More cigarette in the yesteryear (maybe its still popular) to fit in?

Doesn't really matter what u put at the bottom. Be it milk, water, coffee, coke. Each will add to the taste.
