INGREDIENTS
**100gm vermicelli (broken into pieces)
1 liter whole milk (more if you want it on the watery side)
4 tbsp. evaporated milk
2+1 tbsp. butter or ghee
4-5 dates, deseeded and chopped into small pieces
¼ cup of assorted nuts, chopped (I used cashews, almonds and pistachios)
1 tbsp. raisins
3-4 tbsp. sugar, or to taste
pinch of saffron (optional)
pinch of cardamom powder or vanilla essence
INSTRUCTIONS**
Heat the milk and evaporated milk with the sugar, saffron and cardamom powder. Keep it warm.Heat the first 2 tbsp. butter until melted, then add the vermicelli and fry on low heat until they turn golden. Remove and set them aside in a bowl. Add the 1 tbsp. butter into the pan, and fry the raisins, chopped dates and nuts. Once well roasted, add back the fried vermicelli, give everything a stir then add the warm milk. Cook for a few minutes until the vermicelli is nice and soft and the milk has thickened. Serve into a bowl and garnish with some nuts and sliced dates. You can either serve this warm or chilled. Enjoy!

When do you ladies make sheer khurma? On chand raat or early morning on eid day?

I would do it on chaand raat InshaAllah. Since Eid morning We'r usually rushing for Eid namaz and as soon as we come back everyone's ready to eat Sawaiyan, sheer khurma :)
