If she’s really scared of you or thinks badly of you then why is she still engaged to u then?
Just tell her..you’ve changed n stuff n u’d like her to talk more.
I was very nervous talking to him the first time, but we quickly became very comfortable, he understood n respected it, so he didnt push anything.. Also, wat hijab-e-zehra suggested might be right, she’s not comfortalbe talking to u in front of her family and sn’t really allowed to talk to u alone.
