No free & independent woman can be forced to accept a married man for marriage if she does not want to. I personally, never ever aimed or wished to marry a married / divorced or separated man. I said, I personally do not know any woman that generous & I myself am not such generous woman. I cannot accept sharing & am a proud muslim because Islam does not force any independent, free woman to accept a married man if she cannot accept sharing. Regarding the case, I sense her attackers’ lawyer pressed the judge for lenient punishment by using the “being alone with a non-mehram” clause of shariah law. The judge should have rejected the influence as it is true she already suffered enough. A judge cannot be so cruel unless influenced by the criminals. Maybe they were too powerful to influence him or any of the judges incase the sentence was given out by more than one judges. The earlier lenient sentence of them could be due to the same influence. I do not know every detail of the case such as why she was with a strange man or whether the man she was with was also one of the attackers or whether the attackers raped her because they knew she was with a strange man. Incase the strange man she was with was not her attacker then it is surely a case of rapists influencing the final verdict. But if the strange man was also her attacker then it could be a case of her being framed. Since I do not know all the minor details so I’ll avoid stating anything that could be misused by my kafir enemy.
