MY 2 WEEK old girl doesnt seem to burp quikly at all, tkaes her agesss, iterally an hour a times…and then she appears to be hungry again…otherwise shes sleepy, until she burps…what can i do>:

its okay.... its not ALEWAYS necessary that baby burps... give her the usual time and pat her back... the food would be pass through the food pipe.. burp is good if she take however not necessary...
being hungry is another thing.. newborn do this quick often... there was a time when my lil chipmunk was having hunger pranks right after 5 mins of the feeding session.

give her a few spoonfuls of boiled water to help her burp
and don't feed her every one or 2 hours, take it to three so she actually does feel hungry before she has more milk.

At two weeks many newborns go through their first growth spurt. My feeling is if she seems hungry, feed her.
Many nursed babies do not need to burp. If you've tried for 5-10min, it's probably enough.

if she isnt crying at being put down after a feeding and attempted burping sessions, then she is good to go...
hehe... that was my story when my son was a newborn... would take forever to make him burp and by the time i was done, he had had this 1 hour nap in my godhi .. and it would be time for his next feed! haha

shes not being breastfed, heres another issue every time i breastfed her she would cry afterwards like she had a stomach ache?? last night i didnt breast feed here gave her formula as im mixed feeding anyway, and she was alot calmer and didnt cry as much, is there a link?

same here, she drinks, and then by the time she burps, its time to feed again after half hour..

It's possible it is your diet, but formula is sometimes more filling too. Do you have a nurse or lactation consultant you can speak to?

Breastfed babies do need more feedings and they might not burp (mine never did).
I remember nursing my daughter every 2 hours, sometimes even every hour. She used to get tummy aches when I ate potatoes, I still remember that... you have to be very careful about your diet when you're nursing and eliminate everything that seems to cause your baby discomfort after a feeding.

feed on demand nadzzz... my son had a crazy appetite and demanded i feed him every friggin hour... i just went along with it...like sahar said.. they go through growth spurts... but by the time they are 2month old.. they have somewhat of a routine and you know your baby a bit more so that makes it a tad bit easier.
if you feel like a jersey cow these days.. thats ok... cuz that is what all new moms are to their newborns :)
their tummies are teeeeeny weeeeny... and to these new babes, milk is like booze...a few sips and they are off to la la land :D
if anything... keep her from sleeping too fast and not finishing a feed by not making her comfy... like... take off her pjs or in full light... if she doesnt wanna burp.. its ok... try.. for 5 mins... and then just put her down and let her fall asleep... that way u wont be wasting your time burping her and then having her get hungry all within an hour..
i would have suggested other things but you are saying your baby doesnt cry when its put down after a feeding so its nothing really....

im not breastfeeding now, whatyever i eat seems to make her cry, not sure what it is now and i cant just stop eating..: Oh god. oh well formula it is..she seems satisfied with it and doesnt cry, alhumdulilah as much.
