KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday ordered the release of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) leaders Afaq Ahmad and Amir Khan on bail.

Afaq and Amir, who head two separate factions of the MQM-H, have been asked to submit surety bonds worth Rs300,000 each.

The court has also suspended the life imprisonment term awarded to them by the session court. The two had been awarded life sentences last year on charges of murder and kidnapping of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers in 1996.

Amir Khan had earlier been released from the Central Jail for four hours on parole so that he could attend his nephew’s funeral. His nephew, Muhammad Sabih Khan, 32, was murdered on Friday in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Yeah PPP dominated areas are filled with crime, drugs, land grabbing and murders (cough cough Lyari)

Atleast they should complete the tenure of criminals caught unless someone (PPP) has other intentions that is different case then.

They have to distinguish from MQM-A, hence MQM-H, though the long form muttahida vs. muhajir qaumi movement (H - haqiqi) is different in long form now

MQM - H was started to counter MQM - A back in the day, though it can't be the army as the karta dharta of the karachi operation even came out and said 2 years ago that jinnahpur was a made up story.

Afaq ahmeds name was recently nominated in the killing of MQMs worker farooq baig.He wont be released from jail until that case is resolved.

Aamir khan has either been released from jail since there are no more cases pending against him in the court or is believed to have been detained under the public maintenance order because there is fear of trouble.

It was only a made up story in the eyes of Altaf Bhai, his croonies and that shady dude Billah who has reeks fraud from his boothi.

MQM-H was started by afaq ahmed after he developed differences with altaf bhai on matters related to bhatta.
