He is a fallen angel according to biblical sources.
Angels only know good and only follow Allah’s will.
Shaytan on the other hand had a will of his own therefore the conclusion could only state that he was not an Angel. Or maybe might have been given will for the sake of argument.
Can someone pull up proof as to where it is stated that Shaytan is a Jinn and not some other being.

I sent you a personal message asking for elaboration on the words "sarkar" and "aqa" in this quotation that you have in all your posts. Most probably you have not seen the message.
The reason why I ask is that if this refers to Mohammad (sallallaho alaihe wasallam) it smells of shirk. I know people who confirm and argue in favour of my assumption.

Because the Bible has been adultrated to comply with popular demand and to be understood. Wherever miracles or out of the ordinary things were present, they have been deleted or changed.
One of the biggest change is in the sacrifice made by Abraham (alaihe salam). The Testaments refuse to accept Ismael (alaihe salam) as the son who was sacrificed. The reference to sacrifice exists, but they claim it was Ishaq (alaihe salam) who was offered. But then the sunnah of Abraham is lost in their practice.
