Because the culture evolved from the followers of Moses (AS), Jesus (AS) and countless other prophets and messengers. The followers are recognized by Islam as “people of the book,” and are, therefore, considered muslims.

I firmly believe there is a scientific reason why shaving your beard is not recommended. So, it only makes sense that God would send His word down to all His creation through the messengers and prophets. Moses (AS), Jesus(AS) both had beards.

I think it is wajib to grow your beard, innit??
