Why do we really do it? I know it’s not a religious requirement, although the Prophet (PBUH) did it for his children. My head was never shaved as a baby. Is that bad?
its never too late to remedy such things saima, i'd say go for it.

Queer :D
It's sunnah to do it on the 7th day .. and mostly South Asian babies are born with a lot of hair, so it's good to give 'em a clean look. It's also noticed that the hair after the shave grow better ...
Yes, I was told we should shave my daughters head on the seventh day, then my mother-in-law told me to wait. I guess so all the family could see her hair. Anyways, she was born with jet black hair and then after shaving it the new growth was golden brown. I've heard that a babies hair will fall out anyways for the real hair to grow in.
And Queer, I pretty much did shave my head back in college so I think I've fulfilled my duty.

Saima, I don't think it's bad...i think it's sunnah and considered better to do it.
- You can slaughter an animal for Qurbaani even though you have not done Aqeeqah. You may slaughter an animal for Aqeeqah at anytime in your life.
It is Mustahabb (preferable) to perform Aqeeqah. If one does not have the means to perform Aqeeqah, they do not have to do so. Aqeeqah may be performed later when one has the means to do so.
