Shaukat Aziz has come, widows pensioners pray hard

Elder senior retired citizens, widows, pensioners from middle class whose only fuel for keeping themselves bare minimum alive is pension and National Saving deposits must have seen the long list of Bank Accounts with its multi figures balances our imported Finance Minister and soon to be Prime Minister has in foreign banks. He has not brought these amounts back to Pakistan which naturally means he himself is not satisfied with returns on savings in Pakistan which he himself has dictated. He has kept his money abroad where he is getting more profits without any fear of IMF dictated conditions on those banks where his money is. State Bank of Pakistan as per a news of 3/7/04 is putting $2.8 billion out of every day sloganed $12 billion at the disposal of 8 foreign banks for investment in fixed income securities. State Bank must have found foreign securities giving more profits and more risk free than securities in Pakistan under state bank itself and security exchange commission. These 8 foreign banks must be more trustworthy and giving more profits compared to our national savings, Habib, National, United, Muslim Commercial Banks.

Elderly, retired, pensioners, widows now that Shaukat Aziz is going to be PM, now more vigorously pray GOD may have mercy on you. The above two are future danger bells.

On the other hand if he was making rules about returns for the banks he has a direct control over, some would say that it is a conflict of interest.

Now whether "imported" or local production politicians, do you think all of them keep all their money in Pakistan? what makes Shaukat so different in that aspect, atleast he had spent a big portion of his life overseas and has existing banking and investment relationships since he was living overseas. What about politicians who basically live in Pakistan yet have overseas investments.

A real danger that I always saw was the loans taken by pals of politicians from local banks and then not having to pay back the "loan"

I dont know what kind of leadership he will bring to the government, because as good a finance minister he may have been, he lacks the leadership skills that are required for premiership. Jamali didnt have it either, and neither does Shujaat Hussain, whos half an idiot anyway.

I dont know what agenda Shaukat aziz has up his sleeve while publicly conversing with the career criminal Altaf Hussain via phone, and later on addressing him as Altaf bhai, and telling the media that Pakistan is Altaf bhais country, and he has a right to return to it whenever he wants.

The guy seems shaky. HE should have been left alone with the finance ministry. I can foresee a lot of conflicts arising between him and Pres. Musharraf , especially over his closeness with Altaf Hussain.

If I go and contest for PM in Pakistan

Dear Readers,

I* do not know if you would agree or not but-----
I think to say that Shoukat Aziz is not a politician is not correct. Look, usually who chooses to be a polititician? What is ours and our parents experience regarding politicians in Pakistan?

EXcept few, most of the polititians join politics because they do not have anything else to servive. Look; now a days medical doctors are joining politics and also Engineers and doctors joining music business.

Our most of the sheiks and moullana enter in politics and so there living becomes easy; either they get CHANDA OR THEY ARE FINANCED by ARABS AND EUROPE for their vested interests.

Some party used to get two seats although they were in politics (before partition of BAHRAT) and being finaced from almost every where; our own people used to give them ZAKAT, QURBANI KEY KHALEIN or lots and lots of CHANDA.

But some one for example; if I, ( who for example never stayed in pakistan is still 1000% Pakistani, no one should or has right to say that I am not a Pakistani,or I do not know about Pakistan or its problems; it is upto my abilities to grasp about Pakistan in much less time than many others) go and stay in Pakistan for six months, I am pretty sure I would be much more popular than many other polititions in our country. I would take very less time to convince our innocent citizens( less educated;who can be sploit on the name of ISLAM KO KHTRA HAY),and also educated and very highly educated citizens by my profile and education.

I think, but I can not guess how do you think? WE need quality citizens for our country to rise. We do not need quantity of masses to endores someone abilities.

Please do not forget majority is 99% wrong they think as a general person thinks. History is made by few people only.

So I have faith in Shaukat Aziz that he would prove to be very good Pakistani; provided opposition would not do its KA MEAN GHEY. And let him work to his fullest abilities.Regards Sokoon
