Yes you are right ... I was talking about the fitrah not about the norms of society ...
Modesty is different though...I think that it leans more towards humility.
Shyness is a personality trait. If the person isnt shy...is that bad?
I'm not shy ... but I put it on. Technically that isn't being true to myself, but I believe it is being true to my principles. If we are not shy then we can at least try to act it ...

Sometimes I am naturally shy but when I am not I definitely dont put it on because I dont feel there is a need.
Thats not to say I get in anyone's face or just talk out of line.
