eastern modesty somehow embodied in dupatta, chadar and ghoongat (especially in Muslim majority areas), but there are still some areas in east (say South India and Sindh) where modesty have different concept and that too without dupatta and chadar. Abida Parveen don't wear dupatta or chadar, but no one can label her immodest.
Same is true for western societies. This freedom and free sex like concepts are quite new to the western society. Presence of words 'whore' and considering it bad word in western society says that these practices and attitudes have not been accepted by western society in totality.
