PCB on Sunday announced the Pakistan squad, consisting of 15 players for Sharjah Cup 2002. The team selected by the Selection Committee headed by Wasim Bari, was approved by Chairman PCB.
Misbah-Ul-Haq is the only new face. Anyone has any details on him?
Looks a good squad and lets hope the team can perform well in Sharjah.
** Good Luck Pakistan**

So far he has only played 1 test match against NZ last year and none one days.
He is a solid domestic middle order batsman, he is averaging about 48 in test matches and 49 in one days in domestic cricket.
I doubt he will be able to play even one match.
starting 11
Afridi
Nazir
Khan
INzi
Youhana
Razzaq
Latif
Wasim
waqar
akhtar
saqlain
Lets see where Sami will fit, eventhough he has been the best bowler in recent matches.
Since Wasim has come back, Sami will find difficult to gain back his spot.
I think Sami should play instead of Akhtar, who is normally quite expensive in one dayers.
Oh thanks God, Naveed Latif and Taufiq Omer are out and Imran Nazir is back. The team looks like a very balanced one.
Question Bhai! I checked it out this morning, its up and running, and the pic. is very clear

Thanks Very much.
Ok guys Good NEWS!!!
I check the price for the Sharjah Cricket tournament and its $89.95. I think I can afford that. So if you guys wants to watch the matches logon to my server and I will be broadcasting. For the time schedule you can check the following url to find out what time the match will be starting. I will make sure my server is up and running at the time of the match.

Brother Question, can you please tell me how you do this..I mean how you set it up for people?
I have ARY TV and they are showing all matches. I would like to help people do, but not sure how can I broadcast? please email me on [email protected] if you can. Thanks.
Faisal Iqbal was also included as 16th player in the squad.

God bless you man ! My apartment complex administration doesn’t allow to have dish network, so it will be really nice to see your ‘reboradcast.’ Do you know what is the maxmium upload stream limit on ur net connection ?
What do you guys think about a good ‘11’ that we should be preparing for world cup.
here’s mine, with reasons (in order)
**
Misbah-ul-Haq
Shoaib Malik - Saqlain is more feared, shoaib can wait
Azhar Mahmood: has to wait until there’s space for one more all rounder, we already have afridi, akram, and razzaq.
what do you guys think ?
agreed…
but as in case of saqi and malik, akhtar is more feared…
so i think sami can wait till wasim says goodbye…
and dont forget, when in rythm no bowler is more edadly than shoaib…
ofcourse that rythmis rare

Birather Zafar....sorry for replying late.
I am broadcasting it through windows media server. In order to run windows media server you have to have Win2k server or Windows NT server running. Hope that clears up how am broadcasting. If you still have questions post here or send me a private message.

Ok here are some sugestions
Some of you might be wondering like Zaalim that if there are number of people logging into my server it might slow down or something.
The speed on my server varies from 100K to 15K. I put it that way so that if someone is with a modem they should be able to watch it easily too. You should notice that your windows media player changes the speed automatically between 100K and 15K and that all depends on your computer’s memory.
**
Well it won’t slow down the bandwidth no mater how many people logged in. What I would sugest is to make sure you guys have enough memory available for windows media player to buffer and play the transmission. I would recomend the following.
If you have 128 MB RAM in your computer make sure when you are watching the transmisson do not open up any other programs so that all the memory is available to win media. I would upgrade memory if its lesss than 128 MB.
Upgrade memory if you have 256 it would work fine, if you have more than that, it would work really smooth and fine.**
Enjoy!!!
Still have questions? post here or send me a private message.

For our North American Pakistani’s
http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/biggrin.gif
Well as you all are aware, Sharjah Champions Trophy will be shown on Dishnetwork (PPV) but even better news is now that New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan will too be shown on Dish!
Although it’s only been notified that they will only show the 3 one days (but if you read the date it says it ends at May 13th which is day 5 of the second test).
This is really nice for me, because unfortunately I will not have the time to be able to see Sharjah’s matches intensly, I will thus be able to witness the Pakistan matches with NZ in Pakistan (which is on Sun, Wed, and Sat).
There’s a possibility that PTV Prime might show those matches too then you don’t even have to worry about subscribing the matches from dishnetwork. I hope they do show.
Guys, a quick question.
In the last Test match between SL and Pak, all of our fast bowlers - Sami, Shoaib, and Waqar, pretty much got wacked around the ground with ease.
Does this show that our "speedsters" are not as effective anymore as they were in the 99 world cup ?
Seems no one is worried about Shoaib at all ?
Has our bowling deteriorated or has the opposition become better at hitting fast balls ?

Answer to your question is that fast bowlers are more effective in the shorter version of the game than test matches but there is no doubt that our bowlers were annihalated by the srilankan batsmans, but there was nothing special about the srilankan fast bowlers, it was our batsman who were playing like a one day game, most of them threw their wickets away.
On the other side their batsman played like professionals, I think the bowling team only had advantage the first day of the match, after that the pitch wore out for the rest of the 5 days.
I think both Sami and Shoaib are going to fight for that spot for the 4th fast bowler after waqar, wasim, razzaq.
But where does Shoaib Malik fit in this situation with the return of Saqlan and Wasim.
