seems like Murli is appealing every single ball
Classic match, one thing is for certain, pakistan did not cannot keep its cool in the end...
Hats off to Sri Lanka
** PATHETIC**
Last four overs with five wickets in hand, 23 runs required and this is what Akram and Latif do:
over 47: 4 runs
over 48: 3 runs
over 49: 3 runs
over 50: 3 runs
what were they doing, playing a test match???
This is a classic case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Why were they trying to conserve their wickets, there was Razzaq still there.

dissappointing finish again by them..
we had so mnay chances and just blew it off who would have expected pakistan to lose after taking four wickets for forty..
I expected Wasim and Rahisd latif to do the job but hardly believable they were able to contain rashi and wasim at the end..what happen to rashid latif no doubt he is a great batsman and wicket keeper but some how I beginning to believe that he isnt a big hitter anymore as he used to be. If you lkok at the previous matches he did play very compose innings but was lacking big hits..
The only regret I have is Razaq should have been sent instead of Latif
Nevermind guys I am sure we will set lankan dhoti on fire in the final, Inshallah.

Amazing match...That was so thrilling!
Just great! The best match so far.
And I totally agree with you Question.
Latif was time waste.
A big thumb for Wasim, giving his 110% !
Once again great performance by him, Imran and Younus Khan

Great Match.
Chasing any target of 230+ is going to very tough on this wicket.Thsi sharjah wicket in recent times get pretty slow in 2nd half of games .Also with dew making ball softer doesnt help either.
It seems winning Toss and batting first is the key here!!
Best of luck to pakistan if they reach finals.!!!

Indeed, I cant believe this is the same Land that produced Javed Miandad. Reminds me of One India-WI match where Mongia and Prabhakar batted too slow and all of us were really disgusted to see their pathetic batting. I was expecting something beter from Latif. You know sometimes I feel Waqar is right when he doesn't want Akram in the team. This is when people start suspecting your performance.

Just wait for the final and see what Pak does to lankan. Inshallah Pak will be in final. For tomorrows match if NZ wins the toss I am sure they will win the game too. Lets see.
That match stinks.

Extra 21 Runs
When Pakistani team is going to concentrate more on fielding?
Do Your Ever Wonder Why?
Does anyone know with crunt standing points if NZ beat SL what are Pak chances to get in Final? If yes, based on what? Points or NET RR?

I can't believe you guys are praising them when all their shots were upish?
You know how many times Younis Khan or Inzi could have been caught. How about the running between the wickets for Imran.
Wasim seemed to flair really well while batting, and about the extra's, it wasn't both teams day with the ball.
Otherwise Razzaq should have been sent before Latif, it could have done more.
Oh well.. best of luck in the next match.. Do or Die situation!
** why they didn't send in razzaq before both wasim and latif is beyond me. Razzaq didn't even get a chance to bat. He is a better hitter than both wasim and latif. He's not injured is he?????**

Rashid Latif not out **11 23 0 0
**
GOOD ONE!! in such a tight situation. Mr. Latif goes in and makes 11 runs in 23 balls with ** ZERO BOUNDARIES!!**

Yeah I mean on Sunday.
April 14 New Zealand v Sri Lanka
April 15 New Zealand v Pakistan
April 17 Final
So does anyone know with current standings if NZ beat SL what are Pak chances getting in Final?
I don't know the current run rates but the point are as follows.
Srilanka 8
Pakistan 4
Newzeland 4
In Sundays match between NZ and SL, if NZ wins in any way, Pak will have to win the next match when they play NZ.
I think SL is already quali fied, unless NZ beats them really bad and get the extra point and Pakistan beats NZ really badly and get the extra point.
So for Pak to make into the finals without extreem pressure, SL has to win tommorrow.
it was no doubt a great match, and our bowlers bowled really well, first 4 wickets fell in just 40 runs but it was good recovery by Atapattu and Arnold.
Shoaib looked little expensive than his last 2 games, but wasim and waqar started out really well.
As for batting, overall it was good performance, but these are the times when you miss Moin Khan, that was like the ideal situation for him in the last part of the game, yes Razzaq had to go before Latif, things would have been much different.
