Sharjah](Sharjah - Wikipedia) - A teenage girl was brutally assaulted by a masked man who attacked her with a knife before running off. The 13-year-old Indian schoolgirl was making her way to her tutor’s house when she began to sense that someone was following her as she passed the Union Cooperative Society in the Abu Shagara area of Sharjah.
When she turned around she was confronted with a man wearing a black mask. “The man slapped my daughter several times on her face. She was so shocked that she could not move,” said the girl’s mother, who requested anonymity. He then pulled out a knife and attacked her, cutting the girl’s hands several times as he held her to stop her from fleeing with his free hand.
“He attacked her from her shoulder to her wrists,” added the girl’s mother. The teenager screamed as she was assaulted, but there was no one around to help her. Her attacker then proceeded to push the knife into her stomach but, fortunately, failed to pierce the skin. He then ripped her clothes with the knife before turning and running away.
The girl ran to her tutor’s house where her wounds were attended to before she was taken to Kuwaiti Hospital on Monday morning. The girl’s family said they have no idea about the identity of their daughter’s attacker as he did not speak at all during the attack. The family registered a case with Sharjah Police who are now hunting the man.
And the girl’s parents say their daughter has yet to recover from the terrifying ordeal. “I can’t imagine what could have happened to my daughter. She is so scared to step out and walk along that road again,” said the mother.

^ The name of the hospital is "Kuwaiti Hospital" - but its in Sharjah.
