A job well done, the young ones played very nicely, Eventhough in the batting none of the new guys scored big but they all looked very good.
The openeing pairs looked in good touch, Muhammad Hafeez looks like a specialist batsman.
I thought the batting was dissappointing till the last 17 overs when Younis Khan, Rashid Latif and Razzaq batted very nicely.
But dissappointed at Taufeeq Umar, he played a very bad shot in frustration to get out.
Shoaib Malik was unfortunate to be runout.
The bowling was first class, Umar Gul impressed the hell out of me, he didn't bowl as fast I expected but he bowl almost perfect line and length, he almost reminded me of McGrath, its about time Pakistan needed a bowler who attacks less and sticks to the basics and doesn't go for speed.
Muhammad Sami was quite dissappointing today, eventhough he took a wicket but he was trying to be fast like Shoaib but didn't do damage at top order.
I expect him to do well throughout the tourney.
The spinners were amazing, Muhammad Hafeez was very ecnomical and took 2 wickets and Danesh Kaneria bowled well, I'm looking forward to seeing them play Sri Lanka tommorrow, they will be put to real test.
Fielding was amazing today by the young guns.
Maybe Faisal Iqbal should have been included in place of Naved Latif in tommorrow's match.
But the bad part about today's match was when Ramiz Raja asking Miandad "How does it feel to command the players
He was referring to how Wasim and other seniors never listened to Miandad.
A job well done by Pakistan. Although I cudn’t see the whole match because I had to go to school, but I saw Razzaq’s innings and he played really well :k: Hopefully he can keep this up. The batting was decent, although we were missing so many talented and experienced players in our team, but except for Taufeeq Umar, I think everyone else looked to be in pretty good touch. I didnt get a chance to see the bowling, but after reading ur guys comments, I think we have a bright future
