I agree, and thats what i think might happen coz i this way both Naved Latif and Misbah can play while taufiq keep the wickets. And youhana can check himself as a captain there :)
Pakistan is through to the finals anyway. So this might be a chance to try out a few thing.

I think its a bad idea, Rashid has barely been a captain for 2 matches, and you guys want him to sit out.
If you want Taufeeq to keep wickets, he can do that while Rashid is playing.

It is not really easy to prepare or pick a team for a match without knowing the opponent, in this case Kenya.
After looking at the Kenya's performance in Last 2 matches I think we should give Zahid & Misbah a chance to play. I think Tufeeq Umer should rest and let Faisal Iqbal or Naveed Latif play on #2 spot. Both Faisal and Naveed have played in ODI ..... let's hope they take this opportunity and do well.

Why not give Naveed Latif another chance?
Allah Taufeeq Umer ko Tafeeq day. This guy has been constantly getting out on bad deliveries. The only time he did stick around for some time was in the match against india when Saeed Anwar kept on encouraging him to play calmly. If Pakistan is in the mode of rebuilding the team, then why not experiment with some genuine opening batsmen. What happened to Salman Butt or Imran Ferhat?? I saw Butt play in the under 18 a couple of yrs back and he looked quite promising. Or wouldnt it be better to have Saeed back in the team, and allow Taufeeq to develop under him.
Don't let Naveed Latif step on the field. No way. He looks like a lapoo and plays like one too from what i saw. Give the players that will play for the next 6months a chance to keep playing meaning keep Faisal Iqbal and MOhammad Hafeez in the game.
I think Misbah and Mohammad Zahid should be given a chance. Probably rest Naveed Ul Hasan and Rashid Latif or rest Taufeeq Umer.

I think Pak has been "experimenting" for I don't know how long, but long enough. We should let these guys play for a while-at least a few monthes. They've only played 2 matches.
The game looks a bit easy, but Kenya beaten SL and ZM, they shouldn’t be taken lightly.
This tournament we are playing easier teams. Our performance will be weighed against SA, AU, WI. Hopefully this tournament will pump enough confidence in this team to face the tougher teams :k:.

People, it looks like it's gonna be a Pakistan vs. Zimbabwe final. By looking at the scores right now Sri Lanka is gone 193/10 and Zimbabwe batting right now 137/3 after 35 overs and looking pretty good. That kicks up chances for Pakistan considering the fact that every Sharjah Cup pakistan beats sri lanka in the preliminary round but they always come back to beat pakistan in the final. But now that won't matter anyway. so, even if pakistan loses their game against kenya(which is not possible by a long shot) Pakistan will hopefully take the Sharjah Cup.
SO beating sri Lanka(Wc semi finalist), Kenya(Wc semi finalist) and Zimb twice ( Wc super six) will make us the "second best" team ,right ? Oh btw India doesn't count :p
