Totally should share, I think you should (it's not necessary) as soon as your relationship is steady. We share passwords and we aren't married yet. Although he still doesn't have access to my mail but only because I have pictures in there from when I was a really chubby kid and he hasn't seen those. There are too many so I'm too lazy to forward them to my computer. Ahem. But yes, passwords and things of such little caliber should be shared.

Well, I don't see why not share. I mean we live together, share bank accounts..what's the point in hiding the password?Yes it shouldn't automatically assumed that the partner should share it after getting married; however, if both partners are comfortable with it then why not? Plus, like Hareem said that you end up sharing anyway in need basis.

The 1st thing she did was ask for my passwords, and ever since then the weird statuses she puts on that I have to deal with. :(
Edit: Statuses such as:
"Chunky loves Gina" "Chunky loves cupcakes" When I only like muffins. "Chunky is a Chuchunder" When I'm just a cute lil monkey. (I'm sure you all agree) "Chunky hates Mr. Burgers" When I absolutely wootly love Mr. Burgers. "Chunky Loves Gina" theek I do lekin why tell the whole world? kisi ki buree nazar lugtey dair thodi naa lugtee hai.

My wife knows my passwords because for most of the accounts (emails, facebook etc) we had one account between us. Later we split so she uses our common email account (whose password I knew) and I use our FB account now. We never saw the need of changing the passwords so for many of our accounts, we know the password.

I would be completely open to share. Don't have anything to hide.
However, if he refused/hesitated that would cause some major alarm and I would be wary of sharing mine.

I don't really see a reason to share things such as passwords. I mean it shouldn't be a pre-requisite for someone to trust you. But if the need arises, fair enough. And I mean for convenience. And no, I'd never ever read my partner's emails or whatever.

been married for over a decade, I dont know her passwords, she does not know mine. no reason really, her emails are her business. If i needed access or she did because of some urgent need to get to some info, there is no issue in sharing but other than that there is no need.

If he/she is blessed with bit of common sense, they wouldn't use the common account for the messages that could be fun to read. LOL ;)
