Sharif's dilemna

If he manages to form a government he will be in a tricky position. He has avoided the wrath of the militants so far and some say his party has links to some of the groups but what will he do now he is in power? He wont be able to displease the Americans? What are his policies towards militancy and the war on terror?

It is just a shame that the ANP and PPP have had to suffer so much loss when in reality I believe even the PML would have done the same things even if not more.

Re: Sharif's dilemna

I don't think his policies would contradict those of Americans. They want an exit strategy and negotiations with Taliban too.

He would have more trouble dealing with generals in Pak Army though.

Re: Sharif's dilemna

It would be interesting to see what kind of policies he comes up with to deal with taleban and keeping the afghans/Americans and Pakistani generals at bay.

Re: Sharif's dilemna

His real issue will be to get out of self praise and start working with establishment. If he tries his prior antics, ditching anyone who disagrees with him, he will cause trouble.
