very nice to hear that, you are right irem not many people including myself know about it.
otherwise it can be cheaper and very near from pak to study. but Pakistan students and people always lacking the information about these oppertunities, there is much info available and bombarded about bollywood and hollywood movies
no efforts are made to educate people through very nice media PTV2 apart from broadcasting motor and fan repairs, its a total waste of money and time.
its a strong media in pak and it reaches to masses compared to print media. but its hardly ever been used as effective mass literacy and awareness about world, pakistan, oppertunities, vedio lectures by researchers and scientists.
its a shame and they still call it education TV? you know why? cause Japan donated the PTV2 setup equipment only to be used for educational purposes.
may be I am getting carried away and going off the topic. but I think it can be solution! what you think?
^ Actually you are right on the mark.. except for showing poultry farming and those programs that you mentioned, PTV 2 isn't doing much.
Irem, thanks for the information. However, I would be interested in knowing whether the medium of instruction is Persian or English. As far as I know, in Iran, unlike PAkistan, uptil the University level everything is in Persian. Correct me if I am wrong but once the students reach the univerisity level thay take up English language classes to make up for the loss and still perform pretty well....Its my haunch that they are finally required to write/submit the final thesis in English.
irem : with israel lerking with its nukes to nuke iran, i don’t think this university will produce anymore smartypants in future
shak kills : do you really think that pakistani youth will come to iran to study if they are told that a world class university exists rite in their own neighbourhood? i seriously doubt they will some to iran as most will prefer to come to states or some other country in europe.
spock : is more concerned about the logo than the university itself
about PTV2 stuff, i see no irani tv / channel [local / international] boasting about pakistani institutes and universities. :halo:

Munney, unlike you I took irem's word that the university would be really good. As for the logo, isnt it a coincidence that the best tech school of Pakistan and the best tech school of Iran have very similar logos? Alot of our students in Pakistan learn persian, wouldnt it be nice if they goto Iran and study electrical engineering in Iran from a good college. Some of these students cant afford colleges in the US or UK, and believe me, alot of the bright students dont get into the top three or four tech colleges of Pakistan, so its a very nice alternative for them.
