just bcs a guy does not smoke or drin k that does not automatically make him shareef. i know guys who don't do these two and who read namzaz and claim to be shareef yet they are the wrost of the hellraisers on this earth.

^^ you did not see the point i was trying to make ... we are not living in an ideal world... every one of us ... be it me or u has some good and some bad qualities... and these traits (sharafat) does not have a text book definition .. its a matter of perception and varies individually .

shareef are the one who can distinguish between what is the good and the bad for them, and then act acc. to the teachings of Islam [Rational]. these guy remain safe and asks for forgiveness to ALLAH SWT to be remain safe from doing any bad action.
